Evan Rachel Wood
Evan Rachel Wood was born in Raleigh,
North Carolina, on September 7, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III is a stage
actor writer, director and writer, as is her mother, Sara Wood, is an actress
and acting coach. Her brothers older than her are Dana Wood, a musician and Ira
David Wood IV who are also actors. Evan and her brothers frequently performed
at Theatre In The Park in Raleigh. Her father started the company and is its
executive director. After a lengthy audition at the age of five, she was old
when she had the opportunity to screen-test with Kirsten Dunst. She relocated
to Los Angeles with her mom and brother Ira in 1996 . She's enjoyed success
since then and has been featured in a variety of television series, TV films
and feature films. She starred as Tracy in Practical Magic (1998) and S1m0ne
(2002, Al Pacino's child). Holly Hunter followed with Thirteen (2004). Her
performance as Tracy in "Thirteen," which she performed in was
nominated for the Golden Globes for Best Performance by an Actress: Drama, as
well as a nomination from Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance

nominated for an award for a Leading Role award at the time. Her role in the
role of Veda Pierce in the HBO mini-series Mildred, Pierce (2011) earned her an
Emmy nomination and the Golden Globe award. Her powerful performance as
Stephanie Rourke's estranged child in Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler (2008)
earned her acclaim. She is the daughter of Sara Wood and Ira David Wood III.
Ira David Wood III's younger sister. Dancer. She is a lover of dancing or sing,
play the rollblade and horseback ride. She holds earned a black belt in Tae
Kwon Do. She keeps in touch with a lot of her Once and Again (1999 castmates:
Mischa Barrton, Julia Whelan and Shane West.
