Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix discovered early that she was gifted to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first race, Felix finished 2nd in the 200-meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school in 2003 and was signed by Adidas an agreement as an athlete in professional competition. The following year she was a student at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. The following year, Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting the world junior record sprinting 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to win the 200 meter race. In 2007 she defended that title, beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top 3 in her various races in the Olympics which took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
