Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born November 18th, 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley while the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was able to show an early interest to play sports while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting talents at the time. Within 10 weeks of her initial tryout, she placed with a second-place finish in the 200 meters in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for a professional career with Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place in Athens Greece. She broke the Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 second. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion for the 200m race. She defended the title at the 2007 World Championships, winning over her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at her first Olympics and in the Olympics of Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top 3 in all her competitions.
